Warm, Modern, Residential Design

Grove Architecture is a Seattle-based firm focused on residential design emphasizing comfort, warmth, and light-filled spaces that are a joy to inhabit. With great attention to subtle details, we strive to craft intentional homes that fit how each person uses and interacts with a space. This is reflected in the design process at Grove Architecture in which architect and client collaborate on a journey to discover how they live, work, and play.

Whether it is new construction, a home renovation, or an accessory dwelling unit (ADU), Grove Architecture believes in sustainable design incorporating high quality materials and energy efficient building techniques. More importantly, we believe in designing homes that are built to last, providing many years of enjoyment.

Steven Li, AIA

Founder and principal of Grove Architecture, Steven Li is a registered architect in the state of Washington and holds a B.A. in Architecture from the University of California, Berkeley as well as a Master of Architecture degree from the Rhode Island School of Design. The last 15 years of his career have been spent working as an architect, construction manager, and carpenter building out the details that he’s drawn and learning to streamline the design process so that clients can focus on what matters - designing homes that they love to be in.

Steven lives in Seattle with his wife and young son. Whether he is designing quality homes, partnering with local tradespeople, building houses with Habitat for Humanity, or volunteering to serve meals at the local shelter, he has always believed in building strong communities. When he is not busy working or changing dirty diapers, you will likely find him in his backyard grilling with a hoppy Northwest IPA in his hand.
